10 Ways To Repackage WWE's Struggling Wrestlers

6. Mickie James: Bitter Old Veteran

Is Mickie James the most underused woman in WWE today? The five-time Women's Champion can still be very effective between the ropes, but currently finds herself at the bottom of Raw's ladder. The likes of Sasha Banks and Alexa Bliss overtaking her is understandable, but James is barely even used as an enhancement talent these days, which doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

If WWE have any interest in giving Mickie one last big push, they'd be missing a trick by not turning her current lack of usage into a storyline. Her skill, experience, and ability to play a wide range of different characters makes James ideal for a bitter old veteran's role, angry that she's been surpassed by the younger athletes, but not quite ready to let go of her spot just yet.

WWE have told this kind of story plenty of times before, but it usually goes over well, and could transform Mickie into one of the division's biggest heels. If it works, WWE could even use the story to build James up for one last run with the belt, before ultimately falling to one of the young wrestlers that spurred the turn in the first place, thus serving her comeuppance.
