10 Ways To Save WrestleMania 31 After Royal Rumble Disaster

7. Bring Back D-Von Dudley

Bubba Ray Dudley made a triumphant return to a WWE ring last night, entering at number three. However, for as good as his return was, WWE fans were left more and more confused as the Rumble wore on. Bubba returned wearing Dudley Boyz' clothing, Dudley Boyz' glasses and with the Dudley'z music. So where was D-Von? The former Bully Ray in TNA had a singles run with WWE back in 2002, so why not have him dress like that and have him come out to Saliva's 'Turn The Tables' instead of teasing us with a potential Dudley Boyz reunion? They are one of, if not the, most revered tag teams in WWE history after all. The lack of D-Von was another kick to the proverbial groin of the WWE Universe who were undoubtedly waiting for a number of tag team eliminations and a 3D through a table. Instead we had to put up with the stale R-Truth playing the part of Brother Devon, seemingly because of the colour of his skin. (A cynical view if there ever was one.) The tag team division needs the Dudley Boyz. There was a plethora of tag team matches last night with none of them gaining much traction. Cesaro and Tyson Kidd proved they are emerging as the leaders of the division but they don't have many teams to work with. The New Day were buried by the Philly crowd while The Ascension are failing to get over. The Dudleyz could prove to be a fine set of nurturers for the up and comers, while a nostalgic rivalry with the New Age Outlaws, who themselves proved they can still go last night, wouldn't be the worst thing for business.
