10 Ways To Save WrestleMania 31 After Royal Rumble Disaster
6. Introduce The Cream Of NXT's Crop
This process has already started with the promotion of the likes of The Ascension and Charlotte but more needs to be done ahead of Mania. Many will take the view that there's no need to rush the next generation of WWE superstars but last night's Rumble proved that desperate times called for desperate measures. Of course, WWE needs to make sure each man and woman that is brought up to the main roster is given the correct gimmick. Important spots in the Rumble were taken up by no hopers like: R-Truth, Curtis Axel, The Boogeyman, Sin Cara, Zack Ryder, Fandango, Adam Rose, Big E and Titus O'Neil. Also, The New Day were booed out of the building as another lame gimmick was fed to the wolves. Surely giving some of the more established names from WWE's performance centre a platform to showcase their talents and introduce themselves to the main product's fans would have been more beneficial. The likes of Adrain Neville and Sami Zayn have proved they are ready for the big time while relative newcomers like Finn Bálor, Hideo Itami and Kevin Owens could do great things on the main roster. Although, they are presumably being held in the NXT pen to become accustomed to the 'WWE style'. It's time WWE got rid of the lame gimmicked no hopers that their Universe couldn't care about, and replace them with young, captivating and more importantly hungry superstars that will put on show stealing performances every time they step between the ropes. I'm not saying they should be thrown straight into the upper card, but as WCW showed at its peak, the undercard performances are just as, if not more, important than the main event.
