10 Ways To Successfully Challenge The Undertaker At WrestleMania

8. Gang Up On Him (Edge - WrestleMania XXIV)

Going into 'Mania 24, Edge was the reigning World Heavyweight Champion. After The Undertaker had beaten the likes of Batista, MVP and The Great Khali inside the Elimination Chamber at February's No Way Out event, he was lined up for a crack at Edge's title at WrestleMania. Nowadays, it's almost impossible to imagine, but fans did really think the 'Rated-R Superstar' could leave victorious. There were however doubts, especially when it was revealed the match would main event the show. It made perfect sense to finish the PPV with a big babyface win for 'Taker, and that's exactly what fans got. In the lead-up to WrestleMania, Edge's tactics mainly revolved around trying to outnumber The Undertaker. Flanked by his 'Edgeheads', Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins, the champion cut numerous promos saying that he was going to be the one to finally defeat The Deadman at the show of shows. Ryder and Hawkins even became involved in the match itself, with the former memorably being nailed with a vicious Chokeslam onto the latter. It was a cool story, one which fit the cowardly nature of the Edge persona nicely, and only served his ego to have two clones who would do anything to help him win.
