The two top champions in WWE right now are AJ Styles and Kevin Owens. Holy crap! Try and imagine that two years ago. It's pretty incredible to see guys that we thought would never, ever be employed by the company not only being hired, but excelling in prominent roles.

It's not just a couple of guys either, what a star in the company needs to look like has widely expanded over the years. Just try and imagine Finn Balor, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens or Seth Rollins being given a main event program with The Rock or Triple H in the late 90s. It's highly unlikely it would have happened. Hell, Vince McMahon probably would have chosen Rikishi (who was in a couple of pay-per-view main events during that time) over those names.

While it's encouraging that you a wider variety of body types, personalities and in-ring work than in the Attitude Era, things are about to change up even more...

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
