In the first round of Pro Wrestling Unplugged’s ‘Public Enemy-Pitbulls Memorial Tag Team Cup’ in Philadelphia Mark Briscoe suffered hideous damage to his face that severely altered it and his gimmick for the rest of his career.

In the match his brother Jay Briscoe swung a chair and accidentally struck Mark behind him, knocking his four front teeth out and tearing his gums up too in the process. Mark was in agony and was briefly out of action after that, with Jay continuing in the tournament with a replacement. Mark spent his career afterwards with a toothless grin, only enhancing the wild and cutthroat legend The Briscoe Brothers assembled in Ring of Honor and elsewhere.

Mark hilariously put his fake dentures on eBay at one time, with him fully intending to sell them. Bids reached close to $100 before being taken down for violating eBay's 'human remains and body parts’ policy.

Mark Brisco knows all too well about teeth at this point, having shattered Alex Shelly’s two front teeth at ROH’s Field of Honor event with a running knee, which must have been powerful as Shelly was wearing a mouthguard at the time that ended up splitting from the sheer force.
