10 Ways Wrestlers Proved Their Gimmicks Outside WWE

6. The Miz Returns To Reality TV

Watch the latest WWE 24 episode to see how hard it was for The Miz to gain acceptance into a frosty locker room environment back in 2005-ish. The reality TV star was spurned by some of his peers, and he genuinely had to get dressed for shows in the same toilets punters used.

The joke's on them, because Miz has come full circle.

He worked tirelessly to prove himself to fans and wrestlers alike, then became a big enough star that USA Network execs approached him about starting a new show. Now, Miz, his wife Maryse and their children are stars of 'Miz & Mrs' - there's some WWE influence there, but it's not a strict Vince McMahon product.

This casting only supports the way he's been presented on WWE television for over 15 years now. Miz is a reality TV sensation, and he's proving that all over again despite busily working his way up the wrestling ladder in between projects.
