10 Ways Wrestling Business Could Be Changed Forever By Current World Events
1. A WWE/AEW Super Show?
Look, we're happy to admit that this is highly unlikely and definitely wishful thinking. However, depending on how things play out in the weeks to come, desperate times could call for desperate measures, and WWE and All Elite Wrestling might have to work together.
Both companies have lucrative television deals which mean they can probably get away with running repeats of old episodes for a while (that's particularly the case with WWE), but if the wrestling business takes a significant hit over the course of 2020, a team-up of some sort might not be outside the realm of possibility.
If a long list of wrestlers fall ill - and it is expected that we all might at some point - then pooling their resources for some sort of NXT vs. AEW or WWE vs. AEW mega event could be just what the business needs to reignite interest, and make sure fans return after wrestling potentially goes away for a while.
This is probably a last resort for all concerned and not something we're close to seeing happen right now, but start thinking about the potential possibilities, and it's hard not to get a little excited...
