10 Ways Wrestling Business Could Be Changed Forever By Current World Events
5. Major New Stars Are Created
WWE is currently using a very limited roster of talent during shows like RAW and SmackDown, and while WrestleMania being right around the corner means most of them have been big names, this is a period where some lesser known wrestlers could be given the opportunity to become a star.
Take Drew Gulak, for example. While his newfound partnership with Daniel Bryan likely would have been part of Friday nights whatever happened, the fact he's just one of a few wrestlers appearing on SmackDown means he's getting the chance to stand out from the crowd (rather than being just a small part of a much bigger show).
With only a few matches taking place, seeing him deliver some stellar work alongside Bryan in a multitude of bouts means he's someone fans are going to sit up and start taking notice of. That might not have been the case during a "normal" edition.
If, God forbid, members of the main roster do end up falling ill, then we could even end up seeing NXT talent getting the chance to shine again similar to what happened ahead of Survivor Series.
