10 Ways WWE 2K14 Is Better Than Actual WWE Television

10. Meritocracy

How sick are you of watching the hugely popular Daniel Bryan buried on WWE television over the last six months? Well, in WWE 2K14, things are different. Randy Orton and John Cena aren't programmed to never lose, so you can actually advance other wrestlers in 2k14 - which is a drastic change from WWE TV where the same guys just win all the time. Finally you can watch as Daniel Bryan wins the WWE championship and goes on to defend it over a period of months. It is one of the refreshing things about this video game. You can play as any wrestler and develop their story. It's entertaining and satisfying when you finally get your chosen wrestler to championship level. You aren't just going to come up against the same old veterans who never lose €“ in fact, it's actually not that hard to beat Orton on this game compared to some of the other characters. Unfortunately WWE television has become borderline un-watchable because this level of meritocracy never takes place. A wrestler will develop their story on TV, get to championship level, and be booted back down. It's something we see way too often, victims over the years including Van Dam, Jericho and Bryan. The WWE writers should perhaps be given copies of 2k14 to show how satisfying it is to actually follow through on a deserving wrestler's push.
