10 Ways WWE 2K14 Is Better Than Actual WWE Television
7. '30 Years Of Wrestlemania'
What I enjoy most about WWE 2K14 is the '30 years of Wrestlemania' mode. It gives your play purpose you have objectives to fulfil, and a story to follow. As a wrestling fan I also really enjoy it for the historical context and nostalgia it provides. Before each Mania's historic match you get some information and photos of what went down, and during the match you are prompted to re-enact the key Wrestlemania moment. It's cool and a neat twist on the wrestling genre of games. The little things such as old school production values are also done very well. It beats WWE's televised attempts at nostalgia hands down. The recent old school Raw broadcast was a complete load of rubbish stuffed with mostly meaningless stars who nobody cared about (with the exception of Ric Flair of course). In Kk14 there is no bad filler. This is nostalgia done properly legitimate stars and historical importance. Granted, the game has the advantage of bringing to life some of the biggest stars ever, but the fact remains; if you want WWE nostalgia, you are best sticking to the computer game as opposed to watching so called "Old School Raw."
