10 Ways WWE 2K14 Is Better Than Actual WWE Television
6. No WWE Overkill
The action in WWE 2K14 flows nicely and focuses on the wrestlers. Unfortunately, this is something that's far too rare in the actual WWE. One of the biggest complaints about the current WWE television product is that the company ruins the show with way too much social media and app promotion. It's got to the ridiculous point that the company's own star CM Punk recently tweeted a picture asking "Is a terrible app ruining your business?" Punk was clearly getting at the lamentable pushing of the WWE app throughout Raw commentary and segments. If the company pushed a wrestler half as much as they pushed the app, then they would probably have a new Hulk Hogan on their hands. It isn't just the WWE app that the company are obsessed at shoving down our throats though social media is also way overdone on broadcasts. Twitter is a huge obsession for Stephanie McMahon, resulting in the announcers constantly imploring us to tweet our thoughts. We also get boring superficial tweets running across the screen. sadly, it all comes across as more phoney than a Miz main event. Thankfully, 2K14 has none of this garbage distracting from the action. You can get on with your match without any ridiculous interruption or loss of focus, which is exactly the way it should be.
