10 Ways WWE Can Fix Survivor Series In 2021

9. Use Elimination Matches For Feuds

Traditional Survivor Series elimination matches are being used at the moment as a means of WWE expressing its laboured brand warfare concept. There was a time before when these matches were used a way escalating and adding wrinkles to feuds.

A perfect example of this was the Team Angle vs. Team Lesnar showdown from Survivor Series 2003. This match acted as a follow up to Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar's superb grapple-fests from throughout the year. A notable advantage to these multi-person matches are the facets they can add to a feud. They help break the usual cycle of singles bouts between competitors for months on end which can often grow stale. They're also the perfect opportunity to build for future PPV matches leading into the WrestleMania season.

While WWE arguably waste this classic match type on inter-brand battles for bragging rights, there is a far more interesting use of this match type waiting in the wings. Instead of Raw vs. SmackDown for another year, imagine if in 2021 we got to see Roman Reigns call in the remainder of The Bloodline to take on his adversary and their cohorts?
