10 Ways WWE Can Fix Survivor Series In 2021

7. Faction Warfare

Similar to the suggestion that WWE should utilize the traditional elimination match for the benefit of rivalries, it would make sense for factions too.

Thinking back to Survivor Series 2014, the site of Sting's long-awaited WWE debut, the central storyline was of several WWE superstars banding together to take on the unending might of the Triple H-led Authority faction. The good guys won thanks to the 'The Vigilante.' It's a story as old as time itself, the heroes fighting the good fight against the malevolent forces of evil, but on this occasion it was excellently conceived.

Instead of faction-based action where wrestlers align due to their beliefs and a common cause, we are subjected to the same thing year after year. Disingenuous battles for a perception of supremacy. Let that sink in.

Were WWE to return to this style of booking for Survivor Series, you can be certain we would see the likes of The Bloodline, The New Day, and The Undisputed Era go to war with one another. Deeply personal, ideological battles between WWE's resident gangs sound a lot more satisfying than Raw vs. SmackDown again.
