10 Ways WWE Can Fix Survivor Series In 2021
6. A Wider Variety Of Match Stipulations
The traditional elimination matches featured at Survivor Series are regularly fun and act as a showcase for uncommon pairings to face off. That is all well and good, but there is a central theme of survival at the fall PPV that WWE have seemingly forgotten about outside of the confines of this match stipulation.
My suggestion is a simple one. Why not use some other survival-based match types? There are far more theme-appropriate matches at WWE's disposal than you may think.
The likes of gauntlet matches would easily take the place of the time-worn battle royal as a means of fitting in as many people as possible on the card. Submission matches are an obvious fit as well, and I can only dream of how much better the already-great Sasha Banks and Asuka confrontation from this year's edition would have been with such a stipulation. Even the often divisive iron man match would fit great on a Survivor Series card, if you have two engaging, smart performers involved.
There is one specific match type though that deserves an entry of its own...
