10 Ways WWE Can Get More From Dean Ambrose

3. Shed The Goofball Comedy

The only time Ambrose should be carrying a potted plant is when he's doing some gardening with Renee Young far, far away from the WWE spotlight. That whole 'Mitch' thing was so wide of the mark in 2016, and Dean's goofy comedy has continued.

Apparently, WWE believe a 'Lunatic' needs to be fun-loving.

No, no, one million times no. A character dubbed the 'Lunatic Fringe' must be on the edge of insanity, constantly finding new ways to mess with the minds of his opponents and keeping everyone guessing. Right now, Ambrose comes across more Forrest Gump than Jack Nicholson's Joker, and that simply must change if he's going to stop the rot.

Comedy has a place in pro wrestling, but not on those who hope to be occupying the top slots in WWE. Serious characters draw more money, so why do writers repeatedly cast Ambrose as a zany buffoon who acts like Eugene? Take the energy Dean shows during comedic skits, refocus it in more serious segments and you'd have a winner.
