#GiveTruthAChance (yes, the same "Truth" who has been phoning it in with the same tired act for years now) backfired on the WWE in a big way when an even shorter than normal Divas match later that night led to #GiveDivasAChance trending on Twitter for days. Fans made it clear with that hashtag that they are sick of seeing the Divas getting only minutes of screentime on Raw each week in matches which often last about as long as an entrance. There's no denying that the Divas division has become increasingly less important in recent years, despite the wealth of talent it has thanks to women like AJ Lee and Paige. They certainly try to do the best they have with what they're given, but when that's only a fraction of what the male superstars get, it's not exactly easy for them to go out there each week and impress fans who still view their matches as a chance to take a toilet break. #GiveDivasAChance led to Vince McMahon himself promising change and a seemingly tense and very real exchange between Stephanie McMahon and AJ Lee on Twitter. It's still too soon to tell just how much of an impact this movement has had, but there were at least some signs of improvement on WWE programming last week.
