5. The Rock vs HBK
They are two of the biggest icons in the sport, two of the most celebrated showmen in the history of the company, two men who've carried over ten Wrestlemanias on their backs between them, and they've never wrestled one on one. There's little about it that needs to be said, as the match largely sells itself. Dream matches between wrestling legends, who are still physically able to pull of a reasonably demanding match, are thin on the ground, and surely the WWE can't let both men hang up their boots without a single match between them? Michaels has screwed over The Rock at least twice: once on the first ever Smackdown when a well-placed Sweet Chin Music cost The Rock his WWF title match with HHH, and again at Judgment Day 2000, where suspect officiating by HBK cost the Rock his WWF title match with HHH. There's enough of a storyline there for a feud to feel organic. https://youtu.be/O5j3HZFB004?t=746 Michaels' retirement is the biggest fly in the ointment. He's very happy in his new life and has expressed no real desire to return to the ring, making his retirement one of the most unique in wrestling history. If the WWE can coax him back, however, this one match could almost draw a stadium by itself.
