Kurt Angle potentially wrestling for WWE again has been a hot topic since his Hall Of Fame induction was announced in January. The man himself has spoken openly about the subject, stating that he isn’t done competing, and would love to set foot in a WWE ring again. If recent reports are anything to go by, it’s about to become a reality.

There’s speculation that Angle’s current Raw storyline will lead to him wrestling before the year’s end. His first match back would have made for a great WrestleMania 34 moment, but if WWE are going to pull the trigger earlier, they’ve no reason not to give him a landmark bout in New Orleans anyway. Given his age and injury record, a retirement match makes perfect sense, and would let Angle put a younger talent over on wrestling’s biggest stage.

There are plenty of options as far as the opponent goes, and anyone from Seth Rollins to Tye Dillinger could benefit from the rub of ending Kurt’s career. Not only would it help their momentum, but it would let Angle step away from the squared circle on a high note, and the bout should spike ticket sales as soon as it’s announced.
