10 Ways WWE Can Guarantee A WrestleMania 34 Sell-Out

7. No Authority Storylines

The lack of antagonistic authority figures has been one of WWE’s few highlights over the past few months, but it won’t last forever. Stephanie McMahon’s return to television is reportedly imminent, and when she’s around, Triple H is never too far away. The McMahons just can’t stop injecting themselves into huge storylines, particularly during WrestleMania season, with ‘The Game’ playing the evil corporate boogeyman to Seth Rollins’ oppressed employee at WM33, and Roman Reigns at 32.

It’s a tired, tedious storyline that has been done to death since the Attitude Era, but one that could be forgiven if the matches were any good. They haven’t been, however, with both of Triple H’s recent ‘Mania bouts ranking among the dullest on the card.

Last year’s show also featured Shane McMahon vs. AJ Styles, which was a fun little stunt show of a match, but a huge misuse of one of the best wrestlers in the world. These matches have outlived their usefulness, and do little to help the victor anymore. Replacing them with a more exciting bout featuring full-time wrestlers will only benefit the company, as fans certainly aren’t spending all that money to see Triple H’s latest 30-minute vanity match anymore.
