10 Ways WWE Can Make SummerSlam 2021 Bigger Than WrestleMania 37
4. Steller Mid-Card Matches
Hell In A Cell didn't have a United States or Intercontinental Championship match. In the past year, it feels like WWE have pushed these belts further away from the mid-card and are heading straight for the undercard. Gone are the days of John Cena's open challenge.
WWE needs to create some top-quality matches to put these championships back on track. Sheamus' weird feud with Ricochet has not worked and Apollo Crews seems to be stuck in a never-ending loop with Big E.
Some of these storylines have been changed due to either an injury or a release, but it feels like the prestige of these belts is slowly falling.
In order to help them bounce back, WWE needs to create some money matches leading into SummerSlam. Sheamus has a lot of talented competitors that he could mix it up with on RAW. John Morrison, Drew McIntyre or Angel Garza could all put on a great match with The Celtic Warrior.
Likewise, Apollo Crews could easily mix it up with Kevin Owens, Shinsuke Nakamura or Chad Gable. SummerSlam could be an absolutely must-watch show, but WWE need to stack the card right.
