10 Ways WWE Can Make SummerSlam 2021 Bigger Than WrestleMania 37
2. John Cena Vs. Roman Reigns
It seems extremely likely now that Roman Reigns Vs. John Cena will headline SummerSlam. While this is not yet set in stone, it needs to happen!
After an underwhelming match at No Mercy 2017, many thought that WWE would not be able to build this feud. It should have been an open goal. Two of the company's top babyfaces duking it out. Sadly, it all fell a bit flat.
The dynamic has shifted now. Roman is the biggest heel in the company and is delivering incredible match after incredible match. Cena, on the other hand, could return as a top babyface. He has been away from the WWE Universe for a long time and could easily set his sights on breaking Ric Flair's record.
The promos between these two would be killer. The slow-talking Tribal Chief against the loud and witty Cena could make for wholly entertaining segments.
Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley may be more of a spectacle, but this match could be oozing in character, much like Roman's matches with Jey Uso in 2020. If treated correctly, this could be a tremendous SummerSlam main event.
