10 Ways WWE Can Still Salvage 2019
9. Some New Blood In The Universal Title Scene
WWE's big red belt has had a tough time ever since its inception in 2016. That's why, when Seth Rollins clinched the belt at WrestleMania 35, we felt as though a new dawn was upon us. We'd finally have our full-time babyface champion workhorse, flying the flag for Monday Night Raw on a weekly basis and taking on all comers who stood before him.
Then he took on Baron Corbin and Brock Lesnar (a couple of times) which left the fans feeling a little deflated. Braun Strowman - WWE's new bridesmaid - and 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt both tried their luck at enjoying a maiden Universal Title reign, but they were both unsuccessful and the fans now seem to be fed up of their once-lauded Architect.
The solution?
Freshen up that Universal Title picture and add a few more main event stars to a show that desperately needs them. Seriously, on the current roster only Randy Orton, AJ Styles, Kevin Owens and Rollins have held World Titles in the last few years, which leaves a huge batch of potential main event players to choose from for Rollins' next rival.
Imagine Andrade strutting around Raw with Zelina Vega hoisting the belt above him - a la Paul Heyman - or Drew McIntyre finally coming good on that 'future world champion' moniker.
This would be a sure fire way of giving Monday nights the kick up the arse that it's needed for months and it may even give Rollins a chance to rehabilitate himself if he were to lose...but more on that later...
