WWE have managed to get themselves in a right pickle in 2019.

After a decent WrestleMania season and arguably the most well-received iteration of the event in years, they got caught up in their usual post-Mania slump. This year's stagnation found them clutching at straws in order to keep their new influx of fans interested in the product.

Only it wasn't exactly successful: for every Becky Lynch and Kofi Kingston crowning moment, there was a Wildcard or Baron Corbin/Brock Lesnar swerve to dampen our spirits.

Then, just when we thought the quality could be spiking and WWE may have finally gotten to grips with the talented roster that was about to be split between FOX and USA, they went and crapped on 'The Fiend' inside Hell in a Cell and squashed their fan-favourite WWE Champion in less than 10 seconds.

Also, with AEW hitting the ground running, the pressure has been piled onto the shoulders of Vince McMahon to produce a product that can keep his fans from jumping ship.

With Tyson Fury and Cain Velasquez flattering to deceive ahead of another controversial Crown Jewel event In Saudi Arabia, WWE is in desperate need of a few shots in the arm in order to gather some momentum going into next years 'Mania season.

Here's how the biggest wrestling company on the planet can savage a turbulent year.

10. Give Kofi Kingston His Rematch

Let's start with a glaring issue that provoked fans all over the world to condemn the company for their short-sighted booking strategy.

When Brock Lesnar swept into town and bulldozed Kofi Kingston's 180 day WWE Title reign, people weren't that surprised as SmackDown debuted on Friday nights on FOX. Lesnar is of course well known in MMA circles and lent himself to the legitimate atmosphere that FOX wanted to inject into their new acquisition. Him being the new face of the show was logical.

What made literally no sense, though, was for The Beast Incarnate to squash Kingston in under 10 seconds and for the former champ to subsequently forget any affiliation with the title and slot right back into his playful New Day spot.

As of this moment no follow-up or repercussions from that shocking moment have been seen and WWE has completely shunted Kingston out of the main event scene in order to make way for the big buzz signing of Cain Velasquez.

If you want to get a couple of your p*ssed off fans back on side, maybe throwing Kingston the next shot - after the two former UFC stars have slogged it out in Saudi Arabia - wouldn't be the worst idea in the world.
