10 Ways WWE Has Changed Since Raw 1000

9. There's No Talk Of Tout

Admit it, you just cringed when remembering WWE's fascination with Tout. Those 15-second long videos were supposed to be social media's hot new thing, but Tout, just like Vine would later, failed to catch on with wrestling fans like Twitter did. In fact, all Tout became in the end was a short-lived experiment, albeit an expensive one.

A few weeks before Raw 1000, WWE invested a cool $5 million in Tout and began promoting the app heavily on television. Throughout the 1000th episode celebrations, fans were 'treated' to a number of Tout messages from fans talking about the upcoming Daniel Bryan/AJ Lee wedding. These fanboy comments were convincing nobody.

Tout was a short-lived toy for WWE in their never-ending mission to be ahead of the curve when delivering entertainment to the masses. In 2017, they tried again and had Bryan mention the thing on Talking Smack. Like it had been before however, the comeback was temporary.

Twitter is better anyway.
