10 Ways WWE Has Changed Since Raw 1000

8. The WWE Title Doesn't Look Like A Toy

The current WWE Title is bedazzled beyond belief and looks massive sitting over the shoulder of AJ Styles. Even if the thing does look over-the-top, at least AJ has a strap worthy of symbolising his status as the best wrestler on the planet. Back in 2012, it looked for all the world like CM Punk had broken into Toys R' Us and stolen some poor kid's Christmas present.

In 2012, the WWE Title was still suffering a hangover from the days of John Cena's 'spinner' belt. Though the WWE logo on the belt's centre plate was now fixed into the one position, the actual aesthetics of the title remained kid-like and garish. That wasn't helped by the bold use of the word "Champ" just underneath the logo.

Punk looked silly carrying that beast around. Fans yearned for the classic 'winged eagle' belt of yesteryear, or anything that didn't look so embarrassing. To their credit, WWE realised the title was overdue an upgrade and took it from a kid's toy to some in-your-face bling that still maintains some shred of class.
