10 Ways WWE Made A Mark Out Of You In 2014

7. Roman Reigns

Are you one of the many people on the Roman Reigns bandwagon? He's getting some of the biggest reactions of any wrestler at WWE's weekly shows. But how much of that is down to WWE's packaging and presentation? If you're fully bought into the Reigns phenomenon, you've became a bit of a mark. All his momentum and status is a WWE construct. The reality is that he's very unproven. All of his matches usually rely on an experienced opponent or tag team partner. The jury is very much still out on if this guy can stand for himself. His defined moveset is flashy and powerful, but it covers for the lack of actual substance in his game. Then you have the promos. Reigns' mic time is kept short and to the point. He's never really had to express much emotion beyond brooding anger. Again, fans are sold on him, but whether he has the versatility to blossom into a main event act is still questionable. Another thing to notice about WWE making you a mark for Reigns, is the fact he often features more prominently in the opening hour of Raw. This is when the audience are still fresh and keen to cheer for anything. Fans are increasingly becoming marks for the star based on WWE's work and not his own merit.
