8. Teasing A Dean Ambrose Heel Turn
Last week's Raw at least laid the groundwork for Roman Reigns to turn heel, but Triple H not even being shown attempting to win over Dean Ambrose felt strange. After paying visits to Alberto Del Rio, Cesaro, and Kevin Owens, you'd think that Raw would have at least teased the possibility of some sort of allegiance between the Lunatic Fringe and The Authority (and yes, I'm aware Triple H didn't approach Kalisto, but, you know he's Kalisto). Chances are that WWE Creative doesn't want fans to telegraph what looks to be a predictable twist at Survivor Series, but a hint might have been nice. Instead of any of that, Ambrose delivered a brief promo which only seemed to exist in order to throw suspicious fans off the scent of his long rumoured heel turn. The thing about Ambrose is that he's always been portrayed as being about family. After Seth Rollins betrayed The Shield, he made it his mission to go after his former brother while Roman Reigns cracked on with other things. Then, once he was dealt with, Ambrose clashed with the leader of The Wyatt Family, continuing their family vs. family feud from the days of The Shield. Since then, he's attempted to work with Reigns, but it's become blatantly obvious that Roman has his own separate goals. So, without a family, Triple H offering him one in the form of The Authority makes perfect sense, and that really should have been acknowledged here.
