10 Ways WWE Will Mess Up Seemingly Perfect Gimmicks
5. Jey Uso - Back To The Tag Scene
Jey Uso has managed to tap into something remarkable over the past couple of months. Without that organic, crowd-sourced demand to see him rise up the card a la Kofi Kingston or Daniel Bryan, Jey made it to a World Championship program with his red-hot Tribal Chief cousin, Roman Reigns.
Both of the Uso brothers have been almost as captivating as Reigns in this feud, and WWE has managed to keep them around the Universal Champion by having Jey join his cousin in an interesting twist to the family tale. They are so far ahead of the rest of the tag division - New Day notwithstanding - that it will be a step down to go back to fighting Cesaro and Nakamura every week.
Jey Uso has looked like a bonafide star during this angle, and having him go back to being a run-of-the-mill member of the midcard once again would be a huge missed opportunity without seeing how far he could go.
The recent family developments are an interesting way to keep Jey close to the top of the card - and keep him vaguely face as he is berated by Reigns on a weekly basis. Time will only tell if it will last.
