10 Ways WWE Will Mess Up Seemingly Perfect Gimmicks
4. Sasha Banks - Letting The Fire Go Out
Sasha Banks has played her role perfectly in the Banks/Bayley saga; her mannerisms towards the end of their split and the sheer power of her performance at Hell in a Cell put this angle firmly in Feud of the Year contention. If WWE has her move on to being a smiley babyface again, they've wasted the chance to make Sasha the next unflinching, ass-kicking hero on the roster.
Previous championship reigns have underwhelmed for the Boss. This time, she's hampered by a thin roster to work with. If WWE wants to give Sasha Banks a healthy championship reign post-Bayley feud, they need to a) build up some new stars quickly, and b) keep Sasha on exactly the same energy that she's displayed over the past few months.
One thing to clarify: emotion doesn't necessarily mean the amazing intensity on show at Hell in a Cell. Banks can grow back into the cocky champion who backs up her attitude going forwards. It might seem unlikely, given how good she is, but there was a time way back when Sasha Banks was as cookie-cutter as they come. Now that she's found and honed her character, WWE would do well to never let it go.
