10 WCW Angles WWE Wish They Created

2. The Outsiders Saga

Over in the WWF, McMahon would later try and reprise the characters of Razor Ramon and Diesel. Despite not having Scott Hall and Kevin Nash under contract, the original men who played them, the WWF felt they could continue the gimmicks. They were wrong, very wrong, and it sucked compared to what was happening in WCW. Hall and Nash invaded as 'The Outsiders', making wrestling history. Instantly, both men appeared as even bigger stars than they had been in the WWF. Given the fact that Nash had held the WWF Title for a year, this was impressive. Fans were biting their fingernails over what the pair meant to the future of WCW. Eric Bischoff hit a master stroke when he decreed that the loudest words would remain unspoken. It was never officially said that the duo were invading from the WWF. Instead, WCW let fans decide that this was the case. It was brilliant, and WCW Monday Nitro suddenly became the place to be on Monday nights. Hall and Nash threatened the very fabric of WCW as a company, and informed everybody they were taking over. The situation was extremely well done, and it'd only get better over time. When Ric Flair joined the WWF in 1991, the company didn't make the most of the fact he was WCW's top name. WCW did make the most of Hall and Nash.
