10 WCW Angles WWE Wish They Created

1. Successfully Turning Hulk Hogan Heel

During his tenure in the WWF, it's unthinkable to imagine that Hulk Hogan would have agreed to turn heel. As wrestling's biggest star, the Hulkster was riding high amidst a sea of red and yellow merchandise sales. People dearly loved the guy, there was no real reason to turn him heel. Sadly, as a later stint in the company in 1993 would prove, that adulation was running out. By the mid-1990's, a lot of older fans had grown tired of Hulk Hogan. Boos had started to become more and more audible during his appearances, which must have chilled Hulk to the bone. Something needed to be done to freshen up his act, and Eric Bischoff had just the ticket. At Bash At The Beach 1996, Hogan incredibly turned heel, joining forces with Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. The group was announced as the New World Order, and the entire wrestling landscape changed in one fell swoop. The question is, could Vince McMahon and the WWF have booked this as successfully as WCW did? Would a Hulk Hogan heel turn have even worked in the WWF? That will never be known, because Hulk's big switch took place under the banner of WCW. Looking on, McMahon must have wished he'd been able to achieve a successful Hogan heel turn.
