10 WCW Stars That Would Have Saved The Invasion

2. Hollywood Hogan

Even when Hollywood Hogan did enter the WWF once more in early-2002, it was clear that the promotion were interested in making him babyface. Fans did react positively to Hogan, that cannot be denied, but he would have played a big part in the Invasion. Hulk was the man who turned his back on fans in 1996, forming the nWo, one of the biggest angles in WCW history. Imagine how cool it would have been had Hogan and his nWo cohorts stormed out the night after WrestleMania X-Seven, claiming that they were going to rule the WWF like they had WCW. Instantly, they could have been faced with the likes of Steve Austin, The Rock, Triple H and The Undertaker. It's likely that the WWF were always interested in booking The Rock vs. Hulk Hogan, but that should have been an important match in the Invasion saga. The fact that the whole angle boiled down to Rocky vs. Austin at Survivor Series '01 is shocking. There's a good chance Hogan would have been willing to talk terms about re-entering the fray and sitting on the WCW side.
