10 WCW Stars That Would Have Saved The Invasion

3. Sting

It's fascinating to think that Steve Borden only made his WWE debut in 2014. Marching out at the Survivor Series event, the man instigated a feud with Triple H and The Authority faction. At WrestleMania 31, Sting and Triple H clashed in a match that was portrayed as 'WWE vs. WCW'. This just proves what the WWF missed out on, because matches like that would have been better placed as part of the Invasion. In fairness, Triple H missed the entire angle due to a major injury, so Sting wouldn't have been able to face him right away. That said, by the time he returned in January, 2002, the Invasion should have still been running. WrestleMania X-8 would have been bigger for having several WCW vs. WWF matches on the card. Sting vs. Triple H could have been one of them, and fans would have lapped it up. Again, even though he was still collecting on a contract, Sting is one man the WWF should have done anything to get in the door.
