10 WCW Stars Who Did WWE Gimmicks First

4. Booty Man

He didn't make as big of an ass out of himself as these guys.

To his credit, Billy Gunn managed to take the gimmick of a chap who just couldn't get enough arse and get it over. His 'Mr. Ass' character did delight audiences during the height of 'Attitude', and it was marketable despite failing when he shook his fanny away from the bosom (too many body parts, eh?) of the New Age Outlaws.

Years before Gunn traded 'Bad' for 'Mr', Ed Leslie of Brutus Beefcake fame was playing a similar guise over in WCW. Sadly for Ed, his 'Booty Man' persona was a humiliating example of everything that can go wrong when pro wrestling tries to be cute or funny. It didn't help that Kimberly Page became his 'Booty Babe' and slapped ol' Beefers on the tush.

WCW fans were horrified by what they were seeing, and nobody even attempted to explain why some lass spanking some dude who used to be over in the 80s was going to make the company any money. At least Billy's gimmick probs sold some merch.
