When WWE are being so quick to disregard the achievements of WCW in various documentaries and interviews, they should be mindful that one of the guys they're currently promoting as a huge star was one of WCW's biggest success stories. Sting is quickly becoming a focal point of WWE TV, and fans are tripping over themselves to see him wrestle a match at Wrestlemania. None of this would be possible had WCW not booked Sting so well over the years, and maintained an aura which still surrounds the man to this day. In a recent interview on WWE.com, Triple H remarked that he'd like NXT to take more out of the WCW playbook, stating that he admired some of the positives the company had been responsible for introducing to the business. That's a great thing for the now-defunct promotion, that even the top brass in WWE still reflect on some of the revolutionary aspects WCW was responsible for, ones we still see today in the industry we love. What fond memories do you have of WCW, if any? Do you think wrestling would be better for having a true competitor to WWE? Let us know in the comments section below!
