10 WCW Thunder Moments You Need To Revisit
1. David Arquette Wins Title
There were worse choices than David Arquette to hold the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, to be fair, but only about three, and one of them - in Vince Russo - did end up getting his grubby mitts on it about six months later.
This was right around the time that the company was crowning a new champion pretty much every week (which is only a slight exaggeration), and in April 2000 they decided it was time for the Scream star to finally take his place in wrestling folklore.
The match in which he won it - a tag team bout in which Arquette and Diamond Dallas Page squared off with Eirc Bischoff and Jeff Jarrett - wasn't exactly a five-star classic, but try and find a more significant moment on a purported secondary show. You can't.
