10 WCW Thunder Moments You Need To Revisit
4. Rey Mysterio Vs. Juventud Guerrera
It's those cruiserweights again - this time a singles bout between two of the division's trailblazers, with Rey Mysterio taking on Juventud Guerrera, way back on the second episode of Thunder in January 1998.
There can be no real debate, given how the next few years panned out: this was almost certainly the best match in the show's history, and one that we were unlikely to see across town in Vince McMahon's WWE, who were yet to truly embrace the value of the little guys (and, according to some, still haven't).
If gymnast-like high-flying, brilliant chain wrestling and baby-faced Rey in his pomp - before he bulked up and slowed down a little circa 2005/2006 - sounds like your cup of tea, then this one is definitely for you.
