10 WCW World Heavyweight Championship Challengers Nobody Remembers
7. Meng, Scott Putski, Al Green, Rick Fuller - Nitro, 1998
Unless you've been living under a rock, or weren't fortunate enough to live through the all-out carnage and entertaining chaos that were the Monday Night Wars, you've likely heard about a little thing by the name of Goldberg's streak.
Gobbling up and pulverising literally everybody who stood before him during the early days of his in-ring career, the former Atlanta Falcon football player was always going to find himself with the big gold belt strapped around his waist sooner rather than later. In the end, after overcoming Hollywood Hogan in the Georgia Dome, Goldberg would continue his indomitable run. But finding the new champ credible challengers to best on a weekly basis soon became a bit of a difficult task.
So, instead of feeding Hogan, Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall to him week after week, Goldberg began to run through some of the midcard's unlikely world title challengers. Meng (also known as Haku), Scott Putski, Al Green, and Rick Fuller are just a few of the names who were eaten alive by Da Man on WCW television before his reign and streak was ultimately ended by Big Daddy Cool.
