What? How can Samoa Joe be the weakest member of a stable? It’s because he was in one he had no business being in.

The Main Event Mafia began was one of TNA’s better ideas in the beginning of its run. It consisted of a group of former world champions from WCW and WWE banding together to teach the younger generation some respect. Sting, Kurt Angle, Scott Steiner, Kevin Nash and Booker T as a unit were entertaining and had strong chemistry. Then Joe joined them, and it made absolutely no sense.

Yes, Jenna Morasca and Traci Brooks were technically members of the Main Event Mafia as well, but they didn’t last long enough to really bring down the group. Joe, though, just kind of messed the whole concept of it up!

He should have been leading the charge against the former main-eventers, but he willingly gave up the title (a la Finger Poke of Doom) to let Kurt Angle win it instead, because that was a swerve bro!

Plus, Joe didn’t even wear a suit like the rest of them.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
