10 Weird Times WWE Superstars Shared The Same Theme

7. Dean Malenko/Cesaro

Mixing elements of James Bond-style melodrama and lavish guitar licks, Dean Malenko's 'Ice Man' theme was simple, fit his new ladies man character and was just bad ass when the former WCW man debuted it in 2000; the stud gimmick wasn't ideal for someone with Dean's limited emotional range, but at least creative tried to give him some personality.

They'd try the same thing with Cesaro years later.

When yodelling failed (shockingly), WWE thought it might be fun to slap Malenko's old theme on the 'Swiss Superman' and put some bogus European rap lyrics over the top of it. The idea failed, largely because the rap style didn't jive with Cesaro's sophisticated look or his rugged, serious in-ring approach.

Yet again, a sound technical wrestler was the victim of WWE's apparent need to turn him into something he was not. The Malenko version of the theme, sans painful rap, is the easier of the two to look back on. It had a debonaire quality Cesaro's 'Miracle' lacked.
