4. The Rock 'n Sock Connection

Considering that they beat the hell out of each other for the best part of six months, the team of The Rock & Mankind is one of the most unlikely in WWE history. Mankind & The Rock had been rivals for a good reason. The Rock was a slick, cool and charismatic; while Mankind was essentially a scruffy, disturbed oaf; and both had different ideologies. However, it turned out to be their contrasting personalities that made the team popular. By turning the reasons that they fought into the very reasons that they liked each other, WWE created a spark between the two men that was unlike anything seen before. Their unlikely friendship led to some of the funniest moments of the Attitude Era. The famous 'This Is Your Life' skit is still one of the highest rated segments in the history of Raw, and with good reason. The Rock 'n Sock's contrasting personalities allowed them to bounce off each other like they could with nobody else.
