10 Weirdest AEW Main Events Ever

7. Chris Jericho vs Nick Gage - Fight For The Fallen 2021

Nick Gage is not someone you want to mess with.

The deathmatch icon has not only put his body through unspeakable evils over the years, but the guy legitimately went to prison for robbing a bank. He also apparently "died" for several minutes after a spot gone wrong.

Basically, he's the last person you'd ever expect to see on a major wrestling TV show, let alone in the main event against a mainstream legend. And yet, in July 2021, that's exactly what happened.

The 2021 edition of Fight for the Fallen, which was originally a pay-per-view but later became a TV special, climaxed with Gage taking on Chris Jericho in a match with no rules. The whole thing was MJF's idea, who was putting his former tag team partner through several "trials" that he had to overcome in order to face him one-on-one.

Gage versus Jericho was nuts. Light tubes, glass, and even a damn pizza cutter came into play (sorry Domino's) as the two men shed enough blood to keep a hospital stocked for a year. A truly unique match that we will never see the like of again. And maybe that's not a bad thing.
