3. Jon Moxley vs Mark Sterling - Dynamite September 2nd 2020
Though he is a trained wrestler, "Smart" Mark Sterling is mostly presented as an annoying lawyer on AEW TV. He can say that he once main-evented an episode of Dynamite though, and against the AEW World Champion no less.
The September 2nd 2020 edition of the Wednesday show was capped off by Sterling taking on Jon Moxley. Many fans were expecting this to be a simple squash match and they were absolutely right, as Mox tore poor Mark to shreds, even smacking him with his own shoe at one point. One Death Rider later, and it was all over.
Sterling was only ever going to be a conduit for the real main event of the show, which saw MJF emerge to beat Moxley to a bloody pulp ahead of their title match at Full Gear. However, when the history books are written, they will say that Mark Sterling once had a Dynamite main event, and that's something they can never take away from him.
Even if he does still have a fear of loafers to this very day.
