Edge was one of those guys many people imagined would stay with WWE forever, so when he turned up at the end of WrestleDream 2023 under his real name of Adam Copeland, everybody lost their minds.

Copeland's shocking defection opened up dozens of possibilities for matches that had seemed impossible just a few months earlier. Even so, very few people that saw this one coming.

The January 24th 2024 edition of Dynamite featured Copeland taking on one of the most feared wrestlers to have ever walked the Earth - Murder Grandpa himself, Minoru Suzuki.

Here were two men, both veterans of the sport on either side of the Pacific Ocean, who had made their names in radically different forms of pro wrestling. Copeland, aged 50 and formerly retired, and Suzuki, aged 55 and still as scary as ever, standing opposite from one another. This was like a fever dream come to life.

The Rated-R Superstar came out on top in this ten minute affair. It wasn't the greatest pro wrestling match of all time or anything, but from a historical standpoint, it was absolutely fascinating.
