3. Dario And Sexy Star Bond... Over Murder
Heroic luchadora Sexy Star is one of Lucha Underground's main protagonists. Season One ended with her being kidnapped by Marty "The Moth" Martinez and tortured by Marty's evil sister, The Mariposa.
Escaping from their clutches in Season Two, Sexy Star was emotionally broken, cowering whenever Mariposa was around.
Oddly enough, it was the heel authority figure Dario Cueto who came to her aid. In his efforts to encourage Sexy Star to fight back against Mariposa, Dario shared a heartwarming story about his brother Matanza murdering their abusive mother.
Yup, it turned out that the red bull statue that Dario treasured and kept on his desk in his office... that was the murder weapon. In that moment, he realized how much he loved violence.
Sexy Star later took this advice to heart and conquered Mariposa in a brutal "I Quit" match, making her tormentor scream "no mas!"
