Stone Cold forcing Vince McMahon to have his head shaved would have been classic middle-finger shenanigans, if it weren't for one glaring additional element. He was assisted by two other people during the segment. One was Bobby Lashley, and the other was famous Home Alone 2 extra, Donald Trump.
Austin's job was to play referee and to call the match down the middle, which he did with destructive consummate professionalism. But still... For reasons which are fairly obvious, this gag hasn't really stood the test of time. Seeing Trump roar in triumph and subsequently put the razor to a restrained human being seems less like a wrestling work and more like the contents of a lucid nightmare, even if the person in question was Vince McMahon.
In turn, Stone Cold's culpability seems awkwardly out of place throughout the whole incident, almost like the scripted events would have been a little more palatable if he wasn't there. As expected, Trump wound up on the receiving end of a stunner. It wasn't exactly the best sell in wrestling history.
