7. An Off-The-Air (Spec)tacle
The Rock & Sock Connection shared a number of surreal moments together, including off the air. It was common for Mankind to screw things up, unintentionally, for The Rock, but on this occasion, it was 'The Great One''s own doing, thanks to his "electrifying" mannerisms.
One of Mick Foley's favourite memories with his tag team partner took place after an episode of SmackDown concluded. In the middle of his famous, signing-off catchphrases, "it ya smell!...", The Rock's sunglasses slipped off the People's septum and dropped somewhat unceremoniously to the canvas to rapturous applause.
Time stood still for the two men and a status game ensued. The Rock wasn't going to pick the glasses up from the mat, so Mankind, more fitting of his character, did so for him. Dwayne gathered himself, not before slipping a wry smile, thanked Foley and continued from where he left off.
