10 Weirdest Things WWE Ever BANNED
9. Certain Suplexes
A great many moves have seen themselves being thrown onto the WWE banned list over the years, with Seth Rollins' stomp and Randy Orton's punt kick both being given a timeout at various points in the wake of Vince McMahon suddenly feeling the finisher was too violent.
However, what you may not be aware of is the fact that Vinnie Mac once decided to ban the use of weapons such as the belly-to-belly and German suplex back in 2000. So, the vast majority of the talents earning a living under the WWE banner at the time were strictly forbidden from letting loose a set of moves that have since become pretty commonplace on modern wrestling television.
Among the stars who were actually granted permission to unleash these dangerous suplexes, though, was none other than Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle, with The Wrestling Machine eventually explaining that his boss knew that suplexes made up the majority of his move-set and trusted Angle to land workers safely each time.
Yet, stars such as Mick Foley have since called for these kinds of hazardous suplexes to once again be outlawed, stating recently, "I think that over time they shorten careers, and they destroy the quality of life."
