Bound for Glory is TNA's version of WrestleMania, this biggest show of the year where the biggest stars put on the best matches. In theory.

The 2014 edition of the show was the first to take place outside of North America, as the TNA crew travelled to the Land of the Rising Sun to partner with Japanese promotion, Wrestle-1. A bunch of interpromotional matches took place across the card, culminating in this very strange main event tag.

Wrestle-1 was represented by two Japanese legends, The Great Muta and William Regal's best friend, Tajiri. As for the TNA lads, they were "Cowboy" James Storm and future IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, The Great Sanada.

He had dropped "The Great" from his name when he won that belt, but it was the same guy.

Sanada may be a main eventer these days, but this was long before he was at that level. The other three guys were all great wrestlers, but none of them felt like they belonged here, in the final match of a flagship pay-per-view.

The Wrestle-1 guys won, but it was all just too odd to take seriously.
